Sara Sue Vallee is a Montreal-based bilingual indie pop artist blending alt-pop and urban pop influences. Her music pairs sleek, modern production with emotional storytelling, exploring intimacy, escapism, and inner tension. Cinematic and image-driven, her songs move between moody restraint and bold pop moments shaped by her acting background (Beans, Dans ma tête, On Parle de Sexe). Written between Mexico, Toronto and Montreal, her sophomore EP “Snakes in Paradise” catalogs self-sabotaging cycles, delusional hopes and escapism; all while navigating the patterns we repeat while reaching toward growth, wandering astray, and finding our way back to some core understanding of ourselves. Comparable to the Ouroboros symbol where a snake is depicted biting its own tail, Vallee’s EP is an emblem to the cyclic nature of the universe; a creation out of destruction.
Her single “July 19” charted number one on Radio CKRL 89.1 (Quebec, 2022) for numerous weeks. Her music has also been featured on editorial playlists across Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music, including Spotify’s Indie Pop & Chill, Pop Francophone and Nouveautés Francophones, Apple Music’s New in R&B, and Amazon Music’s Nouveau Franco. Her work has additionally been highlighted in various music blogs such as The Deli Mag (NYC, 2024–2022), Honk Magazine (USA, 2024), IGGY Magazine (France, 2024), Clout (UK, 2024), Mystic Sons (UK, 2024) and Illustrate Magazine (USA, 2022). Sara Sue Vallee completed the Artist Entrepreneur program at Canada Music Incubator in Toronto as an emerging recording & performing artist in 2024. In 2025, she signed a publishing deal with Bloc Notes Publishing. |
